The sun had dipped below the quiet hills, painting the sky in shades of warm honey and deep blue. Leo pulled his soft blanket up to his chin. Beside him sat Barnaby, his favorite little bear.
Outside the window, the tall pine trees swayed slowly, back and forth, as if whispering: 'Rest now, little one. All is calm.' A tiny star blinked high above the sleepy meadow.
Leo watched it glow, soft and steady. In the quiet grass, a little field mouse curled into its nest of dry clover, tucked away warm and safe. Leo took a slow, deep breath in... and let it softly out.
His eyelids felt heavy and warm. The stars whispered goodnight to Leo. Sweet dreams, little dreamer.
Tomorrow will be another wonderful day.
